I highly recommend you consider using one of the ergonomic styled snow shovels to keep you safe while shoveling.
- Adding a coating of car wax or spraying silicone over the face will help keep snow from sticking to the blade,
- Start in middle and push snow to the sides or work across your driveway or walk,
- Try to ‘snowplow’ snow by pushing snow, using half your shovel’s width, whenever you can instead of lifting,
- Keep your knees comfortably bent and don’t lean down too far while shoveling and don’t try to be a ‘He Man’ and lift too much at once!
- Take breaks!
